Support that doesn't ask you to mask.
Affirming counseling for autistic children, teens, and adults — and for the families who love them.
Autism is a different way of experiencing the world, not a defect to be corrected. But living in a world built for other people's wiring is genuinely tiring: the sensory overload, the exhausting effort of masking, the social rules nobody explains out loud, and the burnout that follows years of trying to pass as someone you aren't.
Here, the goal is never to make you look less autistic. It is to reduce what actually hurts — overwhelm, anxiety, isolation, self-criticism — while building a life that fits how your mind really works. For children and teens, that includes practical support for parents and school.
As a person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is not to hand down answers or tell you who to be — it is to offer a genuine, accepting, non-judgmental relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully honest with yourself. You set the direction and the pace; evidence-based tools are offered when they serve you, never imposed.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Do social situations leave you drained for hours afterward?
- Do sounds, lights, or textures affect you more than people realize?
- Have you spent years copying others to seem 'normal'?
- Does your child melt down after holding it together all day at school?
- Are changes in routine harder for you than they seem to be for others?
If you found yourself nodding along, that is not a diagnosis — it is information. You don't need the right words or a clear goal to begin. A safe, non-judgmental space is waiting for you to think out loud — and you decide what we explore, and how fast we go.
