You are not your intrusive thoughts.

Evidence-based treatment for the exhausting cycle of obsessions and compulsions.

An intrusive thought arrives — disturbing, unwanted, sticky. Anxiety rises. A ritual quiets it: checking, washing, counting, mentally reviewing, asking for reassurance. Relief comes… for a moment. Then the cycle starts again, a little stronger. OCD thrives on secrecy and shame, which is exactly why reaching out matters.

OCD responds remarkably well to the right treatment. Using evidence-based methods — including exposure and response prevention (ERP), the gold standard for OCD — we work gradually and collaboratively to loosen the grip of compulsions. You'll never be forced or rushed; every step is planned together.

As a person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is not to hand down answers or tell you who to be — it is to offer a genuine, accepting, non-judgmental relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully honest with yourself. You set the direction and the pace; evidence-based tools are offered when they serve you, never imposed.

A Moment of Reflection

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Do distressing thoughts stick, no matter how hard you push them away?
  • Do you check, wash, count, or repeat things to feel safe or 'just right'?
  • Do you ask for reassurance again and again, but the relief never lasts?
  • Do rituals eat up hours of your day or make you late?
  • Do you hide these habits out of shame?

If you found yourself nodding along, that is not a diagnosis — it is information. You don't need the right words or a clear goal to begin. A safe, non-judgmental space is waiting for you to think out loud — and you decide what we explore, and how fast we go.
