The past doesn't have to live in your present.

Trauma-informed therapy that helps you process what happened — safely, at your own pace, without pressure.

Trauma doesn't stay in the past. It shows up as nightmares and flashbacks, jumping at small sounds, numbness, avoiding places and people, or a body that never fully relaxes. If you've ever wondered 'why can't I just get over it' — it's because trauma changes how the nervous system protects you. That's not weakness. It's biology, and it can heal.

In trauma-informed therapy, safety and trust always come first. You will never be pushed to retell your story before you're ready. At your pace, we process what happened, settle the body's alarm system, and rebuild your sense of control — whether the trauma was a single event or years in the making.

As a person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is not to hand down answers or tell you who to be — it is to offer a genuine, accepting, non-judgmental relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully honest with yourself. You set the direction and the pace; evidence-based tools are offered when they serve you, never imposed.

A Moment of Reflection

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Do certain sounds, places, or dates put your body on alert?
  • Do you avoid people or situations that remind you of what happened?
  • Do you feel numb, detached, or not fully here?
  • Do nightmares or intrusive memories interrupt your nights and days?
  • Do you blame yourself for something that was done to you?

If you found yourself nodding along, that is not a diagnosis — it is information. You don't need the right words or a clear goal to begin. A safe, non-judgmental space is waiting for you to think out loud — and you decide what we explore, and how fast we go.
