Sometimes the work belongs to everyone in the room.

Sessions for married couples and families — where the relationship itself is what we're caring for.

Some difficulties don't live inside one person. They live in the space between people: in the way a conversation always turns, in who speaks and who goes silent, in roles assigned years ago that nobody agreed to. You can each work on yourselves separately and still return to the same pattern at the dinner table.

In marital and family sessions, the relationship is the client. Everyone gets to speak and everyone gets heard — including the quiet one. We map the cycle that keeps repeating, surface the needs hidden underneath it, and practice new ways of talking while everyone is in the room, so the change holds after you leave. No one is cast as the problem.

As a person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is not to hand down answers or tell you who to be — it is to offer a genuine, accepting, non-judgmental relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully honest with yourself. You set the direction and the pace; evidence-based tools are offered when they serve you, never imposed.

A Moment of Reflection

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Do the same conflicts repeat, no matter who turns out to be right?
  • Has your marriage narrowed down to logistics and schedules?
  • Do family gatherings end the same way every time?
  • Are you and your partner pulling in opposite directions as parents?
  • Does one person always end up carrying the blame?

If you found yourself nodding along, that is not a diagnosis — it is information. You don't need the right words or a clear goal to begin. A safe, non-judgmental space is waiting for you to think out loud — and you decide what we explore, and how fast we go.
