Choose Your Package
We decide together which session type fits and whether five or ten sessions makes sense.
Pay Once
The package is paid once through the secure client portal, and the amount is recorded as credit on your account.
Sessions Draw Down
Each session is deducted from your balance as it happens. You can see how many sessions remain in the portal at any time.
Insurance isn't accepted — but superbills are provided.
What this means
MindRise Counseling is out-of-network with all insurance plans, which means sessions are paid directly by you. In return, a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurer — is provided on request.
If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be reimbursed for part of what you paid. The amount and the process are determined entirely by your insurer.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is an itemized document listing your session dates, durations, amounts paid, service codes, and your therapist's information. You submit it to your insurer yourself and request reimbursement.
One detail worth knowing: a superbill must include a mental health diagnosis code. Some clients choose not to use one so that no diagnosis enters their record — entirely your decision.
Sliding scale available
Cost should never be the reason someone goes without support. A sliding scale is available for clients for whom the standard rates are out of reach.
If that's you, simply mention it during the free consultation. It's a confidential, straightforward conversation — no lengthy explanation or proof of circumstances required.
Questions to ask your insurer
- Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met?
- Once the deductible is met, what percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
- Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?
- Do I need a referral or pre-authorization for reimbursement?
Reimbursement is never guaranteed and remains a matter between you and your insurer. If you have any questions about fees, the free consultation is a good place to ask them.
Money should never be the confusing part.
If you're unsure which option fits, let's talk it through in a free 15-minute consultation — no commitment required.
