Everyone's needs, in order — and yours at the bottom.
Support for the roles, expectations, and invisible work that women are so often expected to carry without complaint.
You track everyone's appointments, notice what's running out, absorb the moods in the room, and stay pleasant while doing it. Somewhere in there, your own wants got filed under 'later.' Add cultural and family expectations about who a good daughter, wife, or mother should be, and there can be very little room left for the person you actually are.
This is a space where you don't have to be agreeable. We look at the roles you've absorbed, the guilt attached to putting yourself anywhere but last, and what you actually want — including the parts you've never said out loud to anyone, in either language.
As a person-centered therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is not to hand down answers or tell you who to be — it is to offer a genuine, accepting, non-judgmental relationship where you feel safe enough to be fully honest with yourself. You set the direction and the pace; evidence-based tools are offered when they serve you, never imposed.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Is everyone else's schedule in your head at all times?
- Do you feel selfish the moment you put yourself first?
- Are you exhausted by work no one notices until it stops?
- Are you living up to expectations you never actually agreed to?
- Have you lost track of what you enjoy, separate from your roles?
If you found yourself nodding along, that is not a diagnosis — it is information. You don't need the right words or a clear goal to begin. A safe, non-judgmental space is waiting for you to think out loud — and you decide what we explore, and how fast we go.
